Signs We are Living in the End Times

After Sunday’s message from 3 John, I took a few extra minutes to talk about what’s happening in the world right now. With the recent U.S. bombing of Iran, the rising threat of global war, and increasing confusion all around us, people are asking: Are we living in the last days? The short answer is yes.

Scripture lays out what the End Times will look like—and those signs are happening right now.

Jesus said in Matthew 24 that there would be wars and rumors of wars, but not to be alarmed. These things must happen, and they’re just the beginning of birth pains. 1 Thessalonians 5 warns that while people are saying “peace and safety,” sudden destruction will come. That’s a sobering warning. The danger may not come during chaos—it may come when people are least expecting it.

2 Timothy 3 paints a picture of a self-centered, truth-rejecting culture, full of pride, greed, and moral collapse. That description matches the world we’re living in today. Add in Daniel 12:4, which speaks of rapidly increasing knowledge and travel, and you have a technological explosion that aligns perfectly with our current era.

Ezekiel 38–39 speaks of a future military conflict involving nations like Persia (modern-day Iran), Gog, and Magog (Russia?). While the exact players are debated, the geopolitical tension is real—and it looks very similar to what the Bible describes. Prophecy is unfolding in real time.

As for America, we’re noticeably absent in biblical prophecy. Some say we’re Babylon, others say we collapse or become irrelevant. It’s possible we’re simply not part of the final chapter, or that a sweeping move of God—like the rapture—removes many believers and leaves a spiritually empty nation behind.

All of this reminds us that we’re not waiting for the End Times—they’re already here.

Are you walking in faith—or being swept along with the culture?

This is the time to live boldly. Stand firm in grace and truth. Support the Church. Proclaim the Gospel. Pray for the nations. And fix your eyes on Jesus.
