Recently I shared how other people can encourage, inspire and speak wisdom from the Lord into your life just like the Apostle Paul did in the short visit he had with the Thessalonians before he was chased out of town. Pastor Peter West went to be with Jesus in 2011 but we used to go to lunch once a month while I was volunteering in ministry and going to Bible college. The words he spoke into my life in those lunch meetings helped me choose right paths and make wise choices. He was retired from ministry after losing his preaching voice but the words he shared with me were like gold. Maybe it’s time for you to find someone to get together with see how you can encourage them?

West, Rev. Dr. W. Peter Age 86, born August 29, 1924 in Erith, England, passed away August 3rd, 2011 in Sun City West, AZ. He is survived by his wife Vera; 3 children, Vivien (Dr. Glenn Johnson), Clive (Jody), and David (Kim), 10 grandchildren; Melissa (Rollie Holcomb), Mark, Carrie, Paul, Aaron, Kristine, Jorden, Bradley, Brianna and Daniel. A memorial service was held Saturday, August 27, 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 1021 Hennepin Ave., Mpls, MN 55403, where he formerly served as Senior Pastor. We miss him greatly, but he is in the presence of His Lord whom he served faithfully. Please direct any memorials to the missions program of your local church.
