For years I have found this “Growing in Christ” books to be the most effective – especially for people who don’t know much about the Bible or don’t read much. I encourage them to do the Bible study work and answer the questions in the book before we meet but if they don’t get it done I will read through with them and help them answer the questions. The discussion is so much more effective when they come prepared but you can never expect that when Bible study is new to them.
