Grandma Arles is now in the Presence of Jesus

My godly Grandma Arles finally went be with Jesus after 99 years of life here. She was very faithful and kind. She was actually my step-grandma but you would have never known it because she treated me so well. She always sent me cards for my birthday and sometimes for no reason to tell me she loved me and that she was praying for me and the church I served at. Recently I had been praying that she would peacefully die in her sleep since it seemed like it was her time to go as she was stuck in a body that couldn’t communicate and didn’t work right and that’s exactly how she passed from this life into the next. It’s exciting that she is now free to enjoy eternal life in the presence of Jesus and her husband Grandpa Earl. She lived a life worth remembering.

“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live” John 11:25 (KJV)

“We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:8 (KJV)

My parents also were amazing as they moved back to Minnesota and took her out of the nursing home to give her around the clock care to keep her from being lonely and getting Covid. They weren’t able to go anywhere together or do the things they wanted for over a year as they cared for her. That is very admirable.

Below is a picture of the KJV Scofield Reference Bible Grandma Arles and Grandpa Earle they gave me when I was 11 years (I still have it). Grandma Arles wrote: “Dear Chris, this book will keep you from sin or sin will keep you from this book – Isa 59:2” And then when I opened the Bible to that reference there was a $20 bill tucked in there. “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.” Isaiah 59:2 (KJV) They gave me a quarter for every Bible verse I memorized out of that Bible. They also helped pay for me to go to Christian camps and Christian schools. They repeatedly pointed me towards Jesus, were very patient and never gave up on me when I appeared to be going the wrong way. God used them greatly in my life.
