6 RightNow Media Teaching Series I recommend for Adult Sunday School Classes

Like many churches, we offer a RightNow Media subscription to our people. I like using these video resources that come with printable lesson guides for the adult class I help lead on Sunday mornings. Most of my class is men and the quality of the 5-10 minute videos and the discussion questions have worked well. There are so many resources on RightNow Media it can be hard to know which ones to choose. Here are six we used in 2023 and 2024.

Click on the title link will only bring to that series if you are logged in to your RightNow Media account.

1. Romans 1 – JD Greear

The book of Romans is considered by many to be one of the most important books ever written on the Christian faith. Writing to Christians, the apostle Paul defines the gospel, explores its depths, and discusses its significance and implications for the Christian life.

Join pastor J.D. Greear in this eleven-session series where he walks, chapter by chapter, through the first half of Paul’s letter to the church in Rome. Discover the timeless relevance of the book of Romans and encounter the power of its gospel.

2. Romans 2 – JD Greear

The book of Romans is considered by many to be one of the most important books ever written on the Christian faith. Writing to Christians, the apostle Paul defines the gospel, explores its depths, and discusses its significance and implications for the Christian life.

Join pastor J.D. Greear in this twelve-session series where he walks, chapter by chapter, through the second half of Paul’s letter to the church in Rome. Discover the timeless relevance of the book of Romans and encounter the power of the gospel.

3. The Book of 2nd Timothy – Joby Martin

The book of 2 Timothy is a letter from Paul to Timothy that teaches readers what it means to be a disciple and how to disciple others. And its center point is the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Join pastor Joby Martin in this eight-session series where he walks through the book of 2 Timothy. Learn what it means for disciples to be entrusted with the gospel, shaped by the gospel, and driven by the responsibility of sharing the gospel with others.

4. The Beatitudes – Matt Chandler

What does it mean to be blessed? And, more importantly, how do we become someone who is blessed? The kind of life God is calling us to may not look the way we imagined, but it will be better than we could have hoped.

In this eight-session series, pastor Matt Chandler takes us through the Beatitudes and shows us what it means to live in the kingdom of God. Through Jesus’s teaching, learn what the blessed life really looks like

5. The Book of Titus – Chip Ingram

In this Book of the Bible series, Chip Ingram unpacks the book of Titus. He challenges us to display the gospel in our lives through doing good. We do good works not to earn God’s favor, but as a result of God’s favor. When the gospel has truly taken root in our lives, it produces the fruit of godliness. As we pass these things on to future generations, the Church stands in bright contrast to the darkness of the world.

6. A Contrarian’s Guide to Knowing God – Larry Osborne

Sometimes what we believe about the Christian life comes from a single but prominent point of view—an older Christian we look up to, a preacher, or a parent. But is there only one way of living the life of a Jesus follower?

The Christian life—even one centered on grace—can still feel like a long list of dos and don’ts. But what if there’s more (and less) to our faith than we typically believe? In this series based on his book A Contrarian’s Guide to Knowing God, pastor Larry Osborne tackles popular assumptions about Christian living that create stress and failure rather than growth and joy.

If you use RightNow Media and have some of your own suggestions, put them below in the comments. I will also post some of the video series that we loved for Youth Ministry.
