For years I have enjoyed the sights, the sounds and the smell of the cars racing at Raceway Park in Shakopee. One night I even got to race on the track with fans watching in the “Faster Pastor” competition. I took my family there on the Fourth of July a couple of years ago and even my kids who don’t care for racing thought it was a blast. Raceway Park still had the figure 8 races, flag pole races, spectator jumps and occasionally the trailer races. Trailer races are where you hitch up your old trailer filled with whatever you want onto the back of what ever vehicle you bring and race around the track while you try to knock off the other racers trailers – what an exciting mess!

I took some pictures and video with my camera phone the last time I was there. We will miss you Raceway Park!

Someday we will finish the race of our lives – we can be guaranteed a place in the winners circle if we get on Jesus team.
